NASA / NSTA NEWEST

Okay, I've talked about the perks of teaching overseas, but good things can happen when teaching in the good old US of A. One of those good things was being selected for a NASA science teacher workshop. The first thing that I learned when I took this summer workshop that NASA and the National Science Teacher Association held for teachers was that NASA had a base of operations in Cleveland, Ohio.   I had no idea NASA was in the Buckeye State!

We were wined, dined, and educated by the best of NASA.  We participated in hands-on experiments like the egg drop (above right), linked up by satellite with similar groups, bought everything imaginable from the gift shop and even met a real rocket scientist.
