My
cousin told me I should apply for the ScienceGrasp
workshop sponsored by Upjohn in Kalamazoo,
Michigan. I thought that they selected thirteen
teachers from a three state region. My mistake. It was thirteen teachers
from THREE COUNTRIES! Not only was it an amazing workshop, but they gave
each of us computers back when NOBODY had their own computer.
There was one additional perk that came from participation in the ScienceGrasp program. We were all flown to the National Science Teacher Association Convention -- which just happened to be in Anaheim, California. WE EVEN STAYED AT THE DISNEYLAND HOTEL! The sixteen members of ScienceGrasp presented a workshop where our book of lessons was unveiled and distributed.
Yes, I wish I could go to this workshop again.
